About the role: The purpose of the role is to provide engineering to support the development and application of new practices and insights to implement safe, sustainable and efficient asset management plans and manuals under the asset management framework. The role is responsible for assessing and recommending risk management plans associated with line assets to ensure assets are managed to as far as practicable (AFAP). This includes identifying, defining, and advising improvements and supporting the transition to business as usual via updates to plans, guidelines & procedures. The role will also be responsible for supporting the development of associated internal and external reporting by undertaking engineering assessment and statistical modelling to support engineering opportunities in a holistic way. What you'll deliver: Identify directions in the approach to asset management framework, strategies, plans and procedures. Undertake analysis supporting the 5-year economic price reset process by developing well justified business cases and models to achieve stakeholder expectations. Undertake equipment specification reviews making recommendations to achieve required performance and risk management practices. Undertake analysis of data to prepare of annual lines budget and 10-year financial plans and optimises spend using risk management methodologies to meet asset management objectives. Identify and recommend corrective measures where appropriate. Work with stakeholders in asset investigations and the development and implementation of asset management plans, policies and work instructions to achieve optimal outcomes. Identify and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work processes, systems, tools, reports, strategies, plans and manuals. To succeed in the role, you'll have: Tertiary qualification in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering. Previous work experience with application of developing asset management strategies and risk-based modelling. Ability to analyse data from various sources and combine technical expertise, critical thinking, and effective communication for strategic decision-making. Knowledge of SAP, OMS and Business Objects. Strong analytical skills with the ability to present complex technical information to a range of stakeholders. When eligible it is mandatory to obtain and maintain a Registered engineering credential with the Victorian Business Licensing Authority Business.
