About the Role: We are currently looking for an experienced Risk and Compliance Engineer to join our Network Risk and Performance team in a full time and permanent capacity based at our Market Street Head Office. This position is responsible for undertaking various electrical safety compliance assurance activities as outlined in the Integrated Network Management System (INMS) / Electricity Safety Management Scheme (ESMS) across the CitiPower, Powercor and United Energy distribution networks. In addition, the role is also responsible for coordinating risk profiling and risk assessment activities including the establishment and implementation of control actions in accordance with continuous improvements initiatives. The ideal person for this role will have a strong technical background and experience in the electricity distribution industry. In addition, this candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organisation, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels both internal and external to the business. What you'll deliver: Coordinate bi-annual Electricity Networks risk profiling in accordance with the requirements of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, including engagement and consultation of risk and control owners Prepare risk profiling reports, including the maintenance and currency of the Electricity Networks risk and control registers within the enterprise risk management system Prepare the annual Consolidated Audit Program (CAP) and coordinate CAP activities in consultation with control owners, to confirm the effectiveness of critical controls Undertake annual reviews of Network Risk and Assurance documents that underpin the INMS/ESMS to ensure currency and relevance Provide advice and interpretation of electrical technical legislation and regulation to the business and external stakeholders Conduct electricity network deep dive risk assessments Prepare formal responses to regulatory correspondence as required Participate and support daytime incident reporting duties to meet incident reporting obligations. To succeed in this role you'll have: Tertiary qualifications in engineering or other relevant discipline Detailed and demonstrated knowledge of contemporary risk management principles Strong understanding and knowledge of electricity safety legislation Strong organisational and report writing skills Previous experience in dealing with external regulatory authorities Your career with us: We have a diversity of teams across our business, all contributing to great customer and community outcomes.
