How will I help? The Foreign Exchange (FX) group within Financial Markets provides trading and risk management capabilities across the FX products. This capability applies across the banks customer base, 5.5 x 24 hours a day, with presence in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, London and New York. The successful applicant will be expected to lead the development of a Calypso implementation as well as microservices in the post trade FX domain. This will involve collaborating with business stakeholders and users, IT and Testing specialists and external suppliers. What's in it for you? What do I need? To be set up for success in this role, you will be able to demonstrate: Experienced in developing large software solutions, within an object-oriented environment using Java. Prior experience working with financial systems in Investment/Institutional Banks. Experience leading a team of developers. 5 years previous experience with Calypso is preferred. Experience with FX and FX Options is preferred. Agile Software development principles and methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good interpersonal skills to deal with business, team members and vendor's representatives. Education: Good academic background in technology, engineering, or statistical/mathematical analysis. Tertiary education (either completed or in final stages) with a major in finance (e.g. SIA or equivalent) will be considered favourably. What's it like to work there?
