Australian Fund Manager looking for Cloud Engineer as part of an enterprise wide transformation to completely revamp the business, digitizing it completely, improving tech platforms, Agile methodologies & processes with the aim of becoming a customer-led business and boosting market share. The Cloud Engineer contributes to the team goals and objectives by providing design, implementation, and management of cloud-based environments, infrastructure and services to create and operate highly robust, available and secure cloud environments. What will you be doing? Deploy and configure Cloud resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, networking components, and security features. Build cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure (Compute, Network, Storage; IAAS, PaaS, other services) Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment and testing of applications and infrastructure. Monitor, control and optimize Cloud resources for performance, availability, and cost efficiency. Implement security controls and best practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Cloud resources. Collaborate with development teams to provide guidance and support in building cloud-native applications. Design and implement high availability and recoverability environments including designing and implementing disaster recovery and backup strategies for Cloud resources. Stay up to date with the latest Microsoft Azure features, services, and best practices. What will you need to be successful in this role? 3 years of relevant experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Azure Resource Manager Templates, Terraform or Bicep for provisioning and managing cloud resources. Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
