Sinch is looking for an expert, hard-working Data Warehouse Engineer Team Lead to build and maintain data warehouse solutions that turn data into useful information using SQL and modern Business Intelligence tools. In this role, you should have a proven background in SQL, ETL and Data Warehouse design. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a small team to proactively tackle sophisticated problems and design data models that empower various business units to be successful in the accomplishment of their goals Key responsibilities: Translate business needs into designs for end-to-end data solutions with a wholistic view of the entire business Lead a small team in the planning and execution of Data Warehouse engineering to meet company goals. Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g. Data Models, Warehouses, etc.) Create ETL/ELT processes to store and transform data. Continually evaluate and improve existing BI architecture. Collaborate with teams to integrate systems. Develop sophisticated database queries and conduct analyses. Create visualizations and reports for requested projects. Develop and update data warehouse design documentation. Design and implement physical and logical layers of the data warehouse. The successful candidate will posses the following skills and attributes: Proven experience as a Data Warehouse Engineer Solid grasp of SQL and relational theory Experienced with modern BI technologies Background in data warehouse implementation and design In-depth understanding of database management systems and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude A strong working knowledge in Snowflake and AWS as well as data languages like SQL and Python to handle data orchestration tasks. Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Clickhouse, DBT, Airbyte and Informatica. Experience with other Column Store type warehouses and ETL (ELT) technologies is acceptable.
