We are currently seeking an Aftermarket Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This permanent position will be responsible for supporting current Glencore Technology growth into the South American market. This is a rare opportunity to join a small team supporting industry-changing technology. This position reports through to Aftermarket Manager in Brisbane but is based residentially in Chile. The ability to communicate in Spanish and English is critical to succeed in the role. You will be responsible for: Provide Mechanical Engineering support to the Aftermarket business across all technologies, with a focus on IsaMills Manage design changes to Aftermarket components, including changes to manufacturing methodologies, tooling changes, updating BoMs, pricelists, and equipment drawings Provide parts interpretation and Bill of Material support to the Aftermarket team Provide Spare Parts recommendations to Marketing and Project teams Undertake Aftermarket project work, including warranty and upgrade work, as required Undertake failure analysis and reporting relating to site activities Continual development and improvement of existing and new technologies and materials Research alternative wear materials for Aftermarket components, and organise trials of new materials and design of components. Review and manage the QA/QC processes of manufactured components. Develop and implement systems to support the Aftermarket department Manage the IMIS database and provide data / trend analysis Supporting Glencore Technology's growth in the North & South American market Driving the North & South American marketing for Glencore Technology aftermarket services and spare parts Overseas travel will be required. To be successful in this role, you will have: Chilean/Peru citizenship/residency/visa. Ability to travel to Australia and the United States is highly desirable Proficient in both Spanish and English, with the ability to conduct detailed business and technical conversations in both languages. Tertiary qualification/s in Mechanical Engineering (minimum 4-year degree) A minimum of 5 years relevant post-grad experience Be forward thinking, with the ability to efficiently complete scheduled tasks.
