About the role We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join the Elders team on a permanent, full-time basis. The Data Engineer will work with a variety of business stakeholders to deliver appropriate, value driven dynamic insights and data applications to the business, providing high value knowledge for Elders business today and into the future. Strong technical knowledge of data platform technologies is critical, requiring experience with a variety of technology and platforms. Demonstrated experience with analytics models and labs, Power BI, Microsoft Azure, Data Factory, Databricks, Python and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines is essential for this role. Responsibilities Design, develop and ensure data pipeline and data linage for all data ingested into the data platform Maintain existing data pipelines Design and implement data models per business requirements Identify opportunities for new data acquisition Develop data transformation tasks to combine raw data from different sources into business consumable datasets Provide input to project planning and estimations Assist with BAU support as required About you Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (such as Business, IT, Engineering, Accounting) or significant equivalent workplace experience. Experience developing or working with architectural concepts, strategies, roadmaps, reference architectures, architectural patterns, frameworks and principles. Strong knowledge, qualifications and experience in Big Data architecture i.e. Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Power BI. Strong programming and data transformation experience (SQL, Python) Experience with the Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure Experience in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices and tools. Experience in supporting all aspects of the SDLC process including business requirement analysis, designing, performance dimensioning, developing, UAT, deploying and providing support. Solid general IT experience (applications, on premise and cloud infrastructure) including systemic knowledge of IT development, operational and change management processes and methodologies.
