An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Mining Engineer - Short Term Planning to join our dynamic and successful team. As a key member of the Technical Services team you will lead a team of three Short Term Mining Engineers, reporting directly to the Short-Term Planning Superintendent. In this role you will have a key focus on ensuring compliance to the site safety and health management system (SHMS), working closely with the Medium Term Planning and Operations teams to develop and deliver plans, designs and schedules to ensure that the operation's overall mine plan and specific targets are achieved. You and your team will have the opportunity to refine and optimise the current mine plan all the way from conceptual stages through to implementation and execution, as well as continuous improvement initiatives and project work. To be successful in this role, you are a savvy, results driven and resilient character with extensive post graduate experience, with a tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mining/Civil or related field). Proven proficiency in Mine Design and Scheduling packages (such as Vulcan, Deswik, Spry or similar) and demonstrate visible leadership, prioritise safety and always act decisively, honestly and with integrity.
