Energy Our Energy team helps clients maintain safe and reliable power supplies, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and deliver future energy schemes to support sustainable city transitions. What you'll do: Leading and undertaking key technical tasks across a range of generation and power systems related projects. Prepare written technical reports on small to medium projects. Preparation of proposal scope, methodology and costing for power systems related projects. Classical power system analysis & modelling of systems for use in the following types of studies; Load flow, transient stability, generator performance as per the NER, insulation coordination, cable/transformer energisation, steady state load flow, short-circuit analysis, protection settings and coordination. Field validation of generator performance via commissioning and hold point testing activities including preparation of hold point testing reports. About You Bachelor's Degree (Electrical) or Equivalent. Extensive experience in power system studies and related fields Ideally you will have previous consultancy experience Proven ability to guide and mentor junior members of the team Ability to prepare and review technical design and reporting Proven experience and proficiency in the use of power system modelling software which includes some or all of the following: PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, ETAP, SKM PTW.
