As a member of the I&AM Platform Engineering team in Infrastructure & Service Management, the IAM Engineer role is responsible for providing technical expertise within the security engineering function specialising in Identity and Access Management. The Engineer will be a subject matter expert in the IAM domain who will have an ability to translate business needs and goals into technical solutions. This role will identity, evaluate, design, prototype, implement and optimise IAM technology solutions. The Engineer is responsible for successful delivery of projects by providing subject matter expertise as part of the technical team delivering the IAM solution. In addition, this role will enable Service Owners and Squad Facilitators to make the right decisions by providing necessary technical inputs for design options, activity prioritisation, product releases and iterations. Your key accountabilities will include: Research, explore and identify potential vendor products to implement Identity & Access Management, Privileged Access Management, and Identity & Access Governance solutions Make technical design and development decisions by weighing available options in terms of fit for requirements, security, speed to implement, alignment to standards and end user experience. Execute allocated project tasks for development, configuration, implementation, integration, and successful operationalisation of IAM solutions. Provide inputs to solution architecture and high-level design documentation. Create and maintain detailed design, as-built configuration, user guides, service guide and other artefacts as required to operationalise the project. Ensure adherence to secure development practices during the development cycle. Assist Service Owners and Squad Facilitators in resolution of complex problems as part of an agile delivery function focused on speed-to-value. Collaborate with product vendors, product owner, engineering teams and other key internal stakeholders to define and implement robust, sustainable, and effective IAM solutions balancing security requirements with end user experience. Legal and regulatory compliance, adherence to internal operating procedures together with the management of business risks is the responsibility of every Westpac employee. What do I need? To be successful in this role, you will have a strong track record in delivering Identity and Access Management solutions. You will be required to work in an Agile team to support the development of high-value, high-quality solutions within the Westpac Agile Execution Framework, enabling the division to achieve its planned business outcomes. 4 years' experience working with Identity and Management products from Sailpoint and/or Ping, or equivalent. Experience with RSA Cloud for MFA. Experience with DevOps Tools - BitBucket, Jenkins. Proven analytical skills. Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and services. Ability to translate Tech Area priorities into Product or Service and Squad level work. Ability to effectively balance the need for collaboration while retaining a relentless focus on well-planned delivery and execution. Understanding of, and ability to identify, monitor and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, with an ability to design, develop and implement sustainable solutions. How do I Apply? Start here.
