About the Role The Senior Electrical Engineer will join the Engineering Team to provide technical expertise and design management for electrical aspects of wind, solar and battery projects through the project development, construction and operation and maintenance phases. Key Responsibilities: Assist in assessing and developing new storage, solar, and wind projects. Conduct desktop studies to identify grid connection constraints and opportunities. Provide BOQs and layout plans for construction teams. Manage design of primary electrical systems in compliance with standards. Review technical documents and ensure compliance. Prepare specifications and evaluate contractor proposals. Provide construction phase support and resolve design issues. Offer technical advice on system failures. Provide design documents for system upgrades. Act as a point of contact for electrical team and stakeholders. Provide peer review and maintain relationships. Uphold Acciona technical standards and policies. Support overseas projects when needed. Develop and manage external relationships successfully. Ensure personal compliance with Acciona policies and procedures. Skills & Experience Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. Minimum 8 years’ experience in consulting or design management roles. Experience in renewable generation projects with a focus on utility scale wind, solar and storage technologies. A strong background in HV substation primary plant design is required Experience in HV substation secondary protection systems and substation SCADA systems or HV lines design is desirable. Self-driven and autonomous and willing to take lead to deliver project outcomes. Strong technical report and scope writing skills. Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary design and construction management team.
