Our API-first cloud-based services will enable the integration of systems and services with software-defined and autonomous vehicle fleets. Duties & tasks include: Your responsibilities include: Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based software for managing software-defined and autonomous vehicles. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to integrate cloud services seamlessly with our vehicle technology. Contribute to best practices in software development, considering security and compliance across our cloud infrastructure. Contribute to R&D initiatives for innovative solutions that enhance our autonomous vehicle capabilities. Embrace a hands-on approach in technology development, preferring to prototype and iterate on practical solutions rather than focusing on theoretical presentations. Requirements Candidates applying for this position should have: Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles, such as domain-driven design (DDD), API-first solutions, microservice architectures and event-driven architectures that facilitate scalable, maintainable, and robust system designs. Proficiency in at least one modern language, such as Go, Rust or Javascript. Strong experience with different database technologies. Deep understanding of security best practices, including encryption, authentication/authorisation (OAuth, JWT) and secure coding principles. Experience with AWS, including knowledge of IAM and secure cloud practices. Experience with serverless technologies and frameworks (e.g. AWS Lambda), including design, deployment, and management. Strong understanding of message queues and event streams and some familiarity of IoT technologies such as MQTT. Experience with containers and familiar with orchestration concepts. Familiar with different ways of working, delivery methodologies, software development best practices, e.g. TDD, trunk-based development, pair programming. The ideal candidate should bring with them: Passion for pioneering new technologies in transportation. Experience creating for developer audiences is highly regarded, e.g. sample applications, packages, libraries or tools, including docs and community management. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex technical challenges into actionable solutions. Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, capable of working with cross-disciplinary teams and working effectively with stakeholders.
