This role is seeking an experienced Principal/Lead to join us and providing technical, guidance and support within the EI&C team across our business unit working closely with the Engineering Manager on key business and project deliverables. We have recently secured a 3 year engineering services contract alongside other packages and studies and therefore seeking to increase our team to support with increasing workloads. This opportunity will see you create a collaborative and cohesive work culture across the wider stakeholder group. Key focus/responsibilities Accountable for the quality of deliverables of the discipline design section in line with the needs of the customer and regulatory authorities Responsible for production and/or review of engineering deliverables including models, drawings, calculations, specifications, reports, evaluations etc Ensure that information flow to drafting and other disciplines serves to maximize output (clear, concise, correct and practical) Provide technical and commercial direction to engineers in relation to design quality, design schedules and design budgets Act as the key link between the project team and the engineering discipline group Provide feedback to the Project Engineering Manager on design progress budget and schedule Provide technical support to the onsite construction teams, projects department and estimating department Provision of mentoring role to graduate engineers or discipline engineers where applicable At Wood you will join an inclusive and diverse global community of inquisitive minds and recognised industry innovators, partnering to create new possibilities. This opportunity is looking for experience Senior Engineers who bring breadth of experience from concept through to execution, within a EPCM environment and have worked across a wide range of base metal commodities. In addition we are looking for; Tertiary qualification from a recognised institute, ideally with post-graduate studies Chartered Engineer or recognised equivalent Must have experience working with high value engineering centres and in an engineering consultant environment Excellent communication skills when working with cross functional teams within the project and client office to provide guidance and input with regards to instrument specifications and modifications Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (AS, IEC, ASME, ASTM, ANSI, API, etc) Ability to lead and develop your team in their career goals and operational requirements A proven track record for delivering projects within scope, budget and schedule High voltage Power design experience Please note, only applicants holding valid working rights in Australia will be considered.
