As the IT Senior Manager for Infrastructure Engineering you will have the opportunity to lead a team of c.40 IT professionals. Reporting to the Deputy Head of Infrastructure you will be responsible for the governance and management oversight of multiple teams focusing on Cloud, Automation & Integration. Key objectives include: Contribute to the strategic direction and leadership of the IT function, working with other leaders to ensure our technology services, planning, and project delivery are aligned with the organization's goals. Ensure operational accountability by effectively managing people, financials, vendors and processes. Lead, guide, and develop individuals and teams to achieve desired outcomes, including project teams when necessary. Recognize and promote workforce performance, encouraging continuous improvement and maximizing the value derived from technology investments. Contribute to the improvement of policies, systems, and processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and maintaining accurate documentation. Proactively identify and address issues, risks, and opportunities, ensuring the timely delivery of technology solutions aligned with agreed service levels. Foster and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Uplift and embed DevOps delivery capability to automate and integrate the processes between software development and IT teams. Drive team empowerment, cross-team communication and knowledge sharing Assist the implementation and automation of IT controls to reduce risk and increase efficiency across enterprise systems To succeed in the role you must have: 10 years of experience in a senior leadership role in a critical industry such as finance, energy, healthcare and / or leadership in the IT infrastructure as code space. Have owned service delivery to maintain and improve 24x7 critical operations Experience with running platforms in the cloud including automation will also be well regarded Proven experience leading, developing, and motivating teams, including coaching managers, and taking ownership of executing functional strategies. You'll enjoy sharing knowledge with colleagues, providing support when they need it, and at the end of the day, thrive on delivering quality services for the business. Have experience effectively managing and mitigating risks and issues in complex technology environments, ensuring high standards of reliability, resilience, and availability. The ability to articulate technology benefit in terms of business functions.
