About the Job: We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer with extensive experience in data and platform engineering to work with one of our esteemed banking clients. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data platforms that enable seamless data integration, processing, and analysis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality data solutions that meet evolving needs. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines for collecting, processing, and storing large volumes of data from diverse sources. Implement and manage data platforms, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance. Collaborate closely with business and technical teams to identify and solve problems, taking ownership of developing, deploying, and supporting solutions. Optimize data architecture and infrastructure for maximum performance and scalability. Develop and enforce best practices for data governance, security, and compliance. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and platforms, ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimal downtime. Continuously evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve data platform capabilities and efficiency. Document data platform architecture, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration. Experience and Qualifications: 5 years of experience in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on data and platform engineering. Strong knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts with proven experience in designing and building data pipelines. Extensive experience working with SQL across various sources and the ability to write complex SQL queries. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Expertise in data pipeline and workflow management tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Luigi, AWS Glue). Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
