Job Description The Opportunity We are currently looking for a Track Engineer to join our high performing Engineering Team at Arc Infrastructure’s Perth Airport office. Although a Track Engineer role, a holistic approach is required to consider the whole railway system and work closely with Asset & Engineering department and experts in all disciplines. The Role In this role you will use your analytical and problem-solving skills to support the Engineering team in the operation and maintenance of Arc Infrastructure track assets by: Developing and maintaining technical requirements (policies, strategies, standards, specifications, procedures, etc.) related to track assets. Investigating and providing technical guidance and solutions to the Asset Management and Works Delivery teams on matters relating to track assets. Developing scopes of work and managing track engineering related projects and initiatives to be carried out by contractors, consultants or Arc’s internal teams. Performing asset change management through developing type approvals of track assets. Keeping abreast of and adopting innovative and industry best practice solutions relating to track engineering. Providing input, review, sign-off and audit of track engineering designs in accordance with relevant standards. Assisting with incident investigations from a track engineering perspective and preparing the technical report. Applying your knowledge of the rail wheel interface, rolling stock performance requirements and rollingstock standards & specifications to support the Rollingstock and Technical Interface team. About You To be successful in this role we would like you to have: A minimum of 6 years experience in railway track engineering or a related field, Tertiary qualification in Engineering, preferably Civil or Mechanical, Comprehensive knowledge of track engineering principles and application, track components and Arc and other national & international standards, Comprehensive knowledge of Quality Assurance, Type Approvals and testing requirements for critical track components, Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, Demonstrated experience in design, planning and construction of railways within a maintenance environment, Strong teamwork skills with an ability to interact with a wide range of people from Board level to track worker, Demonstrated experience in managing subcontractors and external parties, Demonstrated experience in engineering safety management; hazard identification and risk management.
