Wood is recruiting for a Project Engineer to join our team in Perth, Western Australia as part of its Operations APAC West business. This is a permanent opportunity and supports a major client to deliver a long term engineering service agreement. Wood delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the oil and gas sector and enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent producers, actively supporting operations in Western Australia, the Northern Territory and South East Asia. You will be reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager and working in an ESC contract, to create delivery excellence across the assigned project portfolio, across some of world's most technically challenging brownfields Oil & Gas projects for the Operations team with a key client. In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for: Specifying and coordinating the implementation and completion of moderate sized projects, a portfolio of small projects and / or major components of large projects Ensuring safe delivery, quality, schedule and cost targets are met and managing associated risk mitigation Delivering project to agreed specifications, managing change and customer relationships and ensuring appropriate reporting and governance is adhered to and controlled At Wood you will join an inclusive and diverse global community of inquisitive minds and recognised industry innovators, partnering to create new possibilities. You will be an Australian citizen or hold Permanent Residency (PR) and able to work lawfully in Australia. Ideally you will be suitably qualified in Engineering from a recognised institution and have a 8 years of proven experience in the Oil and Gas Brownfields Engineering / EPCM sector in Australia, including 3 years of relevant experience in a similar Project Engineering role. It is advantageous if you are a Project Management Professional (PMP), Associate in Project Management (APM) or hold an equivalent certification. In addition, you will have: Significant experience in project delivery management Proven experience working on site dealing with front line maintenance technical queries Excellent communication skills with proven experience in client facing roles Engineering project management experience with extensive knowledge Australian and International applicable codes and standards Proven experience managing risk during the design process consistent with technical and commercial requirements Well developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and engineering programs A focus on delivering solutions and adept at managing a dynamic environment with varying tasks and changing and competing priorities What will set you apart will be your proven ability to manage client relationships coupled with your relevant experience on site.
