About The Role As Asset Engineer, you will play a vital role in upholding Thiess's standing as the leading provider of contract mining services. You will provide engineering support and technical expertise to both the asset management team and operational sites, ensuring alignment with all internal and external regulations and standards. Additionally, you will take part in the development of innovative advancements in technology, focusing on enhancing mining equipment, fixed assets, and infrastructure to maintain Thiess's competitive edge in the industry. Additionally, you will: Actively participate in providing engineering and technical advice to operational sites. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify technical improvements to Thiess asset strategies. Assist with the development of engineering statutory requirements and regulated inspections. Conduct technical reviews and risk assessments on engineering-related designs and specifications. Assist in successfully implementing improvement projects and ensure replication across operations. Proactively conduct audits to identify improvement opportunities and ensure statutory compliance. About You Your clear communication, both spoken and written, enhances the flow of ideas and information. You'll enhance stakeholder experiences with exceptional service and drive innovation within a collaborative, diverse team setting. Upholding integrity, you'll contribute to a culture built on trust. Engineering Degree in a relevant discipline, or Associate Degree in Engineering with relevant trade qualification. Technical knowledge of mining assets, particularly heavy mobile equipment. Understanding of legislative requirements and international standards in a mining environment. Proficiency in MS Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems. Contract management skills. Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and think laterally to solve operational issues.
