Provide Engineering expertise on this major Defence project as well as grow your career through uncapped training and development opportunities Tell me about this role: We are currently looking for a security cleared (NV1 or higher) Electrical Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. No two days are the same in this role which is essential to the success of the project. We are looking for skilled engineers who are keen to grow their career within a leading Defence supplier. This role will see you play a vital role in designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems and components for next-generation defence technologies. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and functionality of electrical systems. Based in Canberra, you will be involved in this watercraft project to strengthen the ADF’s amphibious capabilities. What will I be doing day to day? Provide planning advice and guidance on Seaworthiness Assurance and Certification activities Manage Facilities Integration Request for Information responses Technical Subject Matter Expert advice to develop the Design contract and Prime Acquisition Contract Statement of Work, Data Item Descriptions and RFT Packages. Support the development of the Function and Performance Specifications Support Technical Tender Evaluation Working Groups Review of contract deliverables and identification of technical risks Obtain Delegated Technical Authority under Landworthiness What sort of skills do I need? Experience within a Defence Maritime environment Bachelor’s degree of Electrical Engineering Experience in Defence Acquisition or Sustainment projects (desirable) Strong communication skills Process orientated with good attention to detail Hold a minimum NV1 security clearance (must be an Australian citizen) What’s in it for me?
