OUR TEAM As part of our VTS business, our PRV team is primarily focused on the design, manufacture, delivery and support of protected mobility vehicles on a global scale. YOUR ROLE: Join us as a Systems Safety Engineer where you will be developing and delivering solutions (products, support equipment, systems, and services) that are adequately safe for their intended purpose in order to eliminate or reduce harm to people, equipment and the environment. The Systems Safety Engineer is responsible for planning and performing the safety engineering and analysis during the program lifecycle. Working at our Brisbane, Eagle Farm office, on Jagera and Turrbul Land, your role purpose is to: Be an integral part of the safety engineering and assurance team in acting as the custodian of re-invigorating the PRV-VTS system safety management system in authoring and updating project system safety plans. Performing safety analyses. These include but are not limited to Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA); System Requirement Hazard Analysis (SRHA); Operating and Support Hazard Analysis (OSHA); Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA); Fault Tree Analysis (FTA); Common Cause Analysis (CCA). Support the implementation of the system safety management system by monitoring, identifying and/or implementing changes and improvements required to ensure ongoing best practice and compliance with safety legislation, industry regulation and corporate policies. Provide timely safety subject matter expertise and engineering support. This includes Participating and/or chairing System Safety Working Groups, Safety Review Boards and other Safety Committees and Workshops as appropriate. YOUR EXPERIENCE: Sound understanding and experience of the Systems Safety Engineering process in a safety critical industry such a Defence, Vehicles, Railway, Aerospace, Nuclear or Oil & Gas. Proven track record of successfully leading the execution of System Safety Programs that include system safety arguments, assessments and artefacts and conducting independent safety assurance activities including auditing. Working knowledge of MIL-STD-882 or ARP4761 is desirable. Proficient in broad range of technical areas specifically in highly regulated sectors.
