Hudson is collaborating with a leading financial sector client to find a Network Engineer to join their team. This technical role involves providing high-quality and timely IT Network Engineering support to ensure the availability, stability, and performance of their platforms and corporate systems across on-premises and cloud networking infrastructure, handling both BAU and project responsibilities. About the Role: Critical Technical Translation: Translate business strategy and requirements into technical strategies and implement optimal solutions Gap Analysis: Understand the current state, identify gaps, and develop approaches to bridge these gaps. Network Redesign: Collaborate with various teams to redesign the data center and network routing for the APAC region. Support & SLA Management: Provide support for the existing environment, ensuring tickets are resolved according to SLAs. Project Oversight: Oversee projects, including recommendations for system implementations aligned with Global Engineering standards. Autonomous Work: Operate with minimal supervision, exercising initiative and independent judgment. Desirable Qualifications: Education: Degree qualified or equivalent industry experience. Industry Experience: Minimum 3 years in operations within FinTech, Financial Services, or similar industries. Technical Knowledge: Detailed understanding of on-premises and cloud networking infrastructure. Cloud Networking: Experience with cloud network services (Azure, AWS, GCP). Cisco Expertise: Knowledge of Cisco switching and routing, including NSX and Nexus (CCNP Equivalent). F5 Proficiency: Experience with F5 technologies (LTM/APM/ASM/GTM) is essential. Checkpoint Firewall: Experience with Checkpoint firewall management, policy implementation, and VPN (CCSA highly regarded). Data Center Skills: Experience with data center racking, cabling, and connectivity. Team & Independent Work: Team player with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a rapidly changing environment. Communication & Time Management: Excellent communication and time-management skills.
