About the Opportunity The Cybersecurity Engineer oversees, manages, and enhances the Library's Cybersecurity posture. The Cybersecurity Engineer utilises a blend of technical administration, development, and thorough business analysis to ensure that the platform's solutions are aligned with company needs and are driving efficiency and improvement. The Cybersecurity Engineer applies their technical expertise and business insights to proactively advise and strategise with internal stakeholders in order to meet business requirements. The Cybersecurity Engineer oversees the daily security operations, by reviewing security tooling dashboards, actioning or escalating alerts, and ensuring security reports are timely updated with all relevant information. About You The ideal candidate possesses a Deep understanding of Cybersecurity technologies, traditional computing environments including Linux, Networking and Systems architecture and has a solid understanding of systems engineering principles lifecycle management. Experience in automation to streamline incident response is highly desirable. In addition, you will come to us with: Demonstrated experience in managing security operations centres, including coordinating monitoring activities, responding to alerts, and maintaining up-to-date security reports. Proven expertise in administering and optimising security systems, including SIEM, Privileged Access Management, Microsoft Defender Portal, and Vulnerability Scanners, to ensure robust security across managed assets. Experience in implementing and overseeing security policies, conducting compliance reviews, and managing audit processes to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal standards. Demonstrated experience managing and streamlining incident response processes, leveraging automation and collaborating with cross-functional teams to minimise response times and mitigate threats effectively. Proven track record in managing cybersecurity projects within an agile framework, including planning, executing, and closing projects that align with strategic goals and contribute to organisational security posturing.
