About The Role Thiess is seeking a Cloud Engineer, based in our newly renovated Brisbane head office, to join our Information, Communication & Technology team. As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a vital role in determining, documenting, and coordinating the implementation of system policies and standards. Your primary objective will be to provide the business with an exceptional ICT environment and to administer cloud system architecture to ensure maximum efficiency. Additionally, you will: Provide timely & quality support, investigation, response, feedback, escalation, assistance and resolution to incidents logged by the Thiess Helpdesk to Thiess & Business Unit Employees Ensure all Incidents and work tasks are updated and maintained in a timely and informative manner to promote SLA compliance and knowledge Proactively review the services being provided to ensure they are fit for purpose, cost effective and performing adequately Ensure all systems and network services are available when required by the business and are performing as expected Provide technical advice and support to internal/external staff when required Ensure effective design and implementation of consistent and reliable network solutions Day to day administration of Thiess Systems and associated hardware Diagnose and resolve support calls relating to the abovementioned Thiess systems About You You maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, interpersonal and communication skills and present a customer focused attitude in daily operations. Additionally, you have: Tertiary qualifications in Information technology. Several years demonstrated experience in the operation and design of cloud based infrastructure Demonstrated experience in working with cloud applications Three (3) years' experience working with Microsoft technologies Experience with writing design, project documentation and process documentation Experience working within environments that encompass cloud based technologies such as Azure Experience of working within a complex ICT server environment Experience with working in an environment that is tracked via an incident management tool. Advanced knowledge of Windows Server environments. Knowledge of SQL Server. Knowledge of server technologies such as AD, Exchange, Terminal Services and Citrix. Knowledge of Cloud Storage & On Premise Storage technologies. Knowledge of Anti-Virus/security practices. Knowledge of PowerShell scripting Knowledge of security platforms such as Microsoft Defender Security Center Ability to provide in-depth technical support and analysis. Custom Applications / Systems Support of real time high availability IT Systems Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization Ability to impart industry knowledge to internal staff members Working knowledge of enterprise ICT environments. Knowledge of security practices. Knowledge of ITIL practices desirable.
