About us The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. About the role You will work with the Finance technical team on integrations and custom applications in Oracle PaaS cloud. You will be responsible for development, testing and deployment of solutions to enhance Oracle ERP. About you To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate: Proven Experience in using Data Warehouses (Oracle) for data storage and data processing, Strong experience in design, build, and support of complex data applications using Oracle APEX and data integration using Oracle integration cloud. Experience in any data analytics, reporting, visualisation using Python, Power BI is highly desirable. Knowledge of delivery and processing of high-volume data driven grant programs is highly preferred. Establishes systems and procedures to guide work and track progress; Recognizes actual and potential barriers and finds effective ways to deal with them. Confidently conveys ideas and information in a clear and interesting way; Clearly understands the target audience and the objectives of the communication. Key Accountabilities Manages the delivery and development of complex scripts and solutions in collaboration with key stakeholders including business users, project manager, business analysts, senior data architects, data engineers, testers, and technology platform support specialists. Manages and supports data collection, processing and integrations in collaboration with other internal data teams to ensure timely delivery of grant programs Ensure sensitive and privacy data is stored and encrypted in accordance with department policies. Actively review and monitor access to data, Ensure data storage, integrity and quality and logging compliance to data security procedures and policies. Ensure business continuity and protection against data loss, systems performance in collaboration with IS platform support. Maintain and support production complex documentation in accordance with the quality review standards such as technical specifications, solution design, release and deployment instructions, procedures, user & support manuals and work packages Mandatory requirements A relevant tertiary degree in Information Technology/Science/Data Science Proven expertise in SQL/PLSQL, Oracle APEX, Power BI, Integrations, Linux scripting, Database administration & Management, Data Modelling, Design and Data Processing Advanced Skills in Oracle Integration Cloud and knowledge of Oracle Financial Processes For specific responsibilities please review the attached position description.
