Our Opportunity Work Location: Abernethy Road, Forrestfield Roster: Monday to Friday FHS is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to provide expert services and solutions to internal Customer groups. The position requires broad expertise across the manufacturing and production area including but not limited to Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, Production Operations, APIs (Application Programming Interface), Quality Management (QM), Supply Chain, Warehouse and Materials Management. The role is responsible for supporting project management team to deliver machinery equipment to produce Hydrogen Systems Products at various sites. Contribution and ongoing support and continuous improvement activities. You will be responsible for ensuring that all related activities are performed in accordance with Australian and international engineering standards, Fortescue policies, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety and environmental requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments. Key Responsibilities Manage a team of Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement Engineers Participates in the specification and review of test and production equipment and processes products for electrolyser manufacture. Prepares technical documentation for test and production equipment, including scopes of work, procedures, specifications, and standards. Must be able to be able to plan and manage own workload (self-directing) with minimal oversight, escalating where necessary to address potential risks or resolve issues. Exhibits and manages to our Values and Code of Conduct. Evaluating manufacturing processes, developing effective automated and non-automated systems, and testing new and existing production procedures. Design the production layout based on Lean manufacturing and manage the factory fit out with the machine and equipment needed. Liaise with internal stakeholders & subcontractors and oversee Machine design from build to install and commissioning. Qualifications and Experience Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience. 10 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in Manufacturing and Machinery environment. Experience in CAD software in preparing 3D models and rendering. Experience in system tools integration within SAP in manufacturing environment Broad knowledge of manufacturing operations, business processes, business tools and the flow of data Knowledge of IT hardware and networking solutions an advantage Strong ability to converse with both end-users and IT employees at all levels of the organisation. Sound technical specification writing/documentation skills. An appreciation of both IT and business strategy. Strong customer service focus. Outstanding communication skill, both verbally and in written form.
