ASR Recruitment have partnered with a leading industrial electrical control consultancy, who are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Control System Engineer to join their cohesive team. If you are passionate about delivering project excellence in the water, chemical, materials handling, and mining sectors, we want to hear from you About the Role: As a Control System Engineer, you will be responsible for: Control Systems Design: Design control systems across various products and industries. PLC and SCADA Development: Develop new PLC and SCADA systems, as well as update and maintain existing ones for client sites. Comprehensive System Management: Oversee the design, configuration, software development, factory acceptance testing, commissioning, and site acceptance testing of PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems. Client Collaboration: Work closely with new and existing clients to understand their requirements and develop tailored solutions. About Our Client: Based in Newcastle and specialising in electrical, instrumentation, and control system design services, including hazardous area and functional safety design. They excel in designing, programming, and commissioning industrial automation and control systems that meet customer requirements. Selection Criteria - Essential: Electrical engineering qualification (Bachelor, Certificate, Advanced Diploma, Associate Diploma) Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work well in a team environment Proven experience in managing, developing, and maintaining client relationships Experience in the water, chemical, materials handling, mining, or industrial sectors High competence with PLC, SCADA, HMI, and RTU/Telemetry systems Experience in control network design, configuration, and implementation Proficiency in Schneider or Allen Bradley PLC programming Experience with Citect or GeoSCADA (ClearSCADA) programming Proficiency in Schneider Magellis, Allen Bradley Panelview, or Red Lion HMI programming NSW Driver’s Licence Selection Criteria - Desirable: Electrical contractor’s licence Experience in configuring and commissioning a wide range of industrial instrumentation What We Offer: A growing company with exciting opportunities Flexible work arrangements A rewarding salary package A great team environment and culture If you meet the essential criteria and are ready to take on this exciting challenge, apply now or call Kristi Banister on 0413 312 668 for a confidential discussion.
