About the Role This role is based in Brisbane though will require occasional travel to our operational sites in QLD and NSW In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking preventative maintenance and providing remote technical support for the mine site Digital Radio Systems, associated networks and peripheral equipment. You will participate in the resolution of incidents that impact the service offering, maintaining world-class system availability and mean-time-to-resolution metrics. Together with design you will optimize and integrate Digital Radio Systems in line with the BHP Operational Technology standards and adherence to blueprint. Your key responsibilities: Ensure day to day incident resolution and maintenance of production critical Digital Radio Systems. Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to support teams to resolve priority issues. Manage system changes required ensuring the system integrity is maintained. Manage subscriber radio configurations ensuring the highest level of integrity. Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment/system reliability. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and minor improvement projects. Validate quality of work performed prior to completion. Review and request updates to Work Management and other Maintenance Master Data as required. Complete work management processes during shift and update supervisor. About You Trade certificate in Radio Communications, Electronics or Electrical. Telecommunications or similar discipline Familiarity with standards-based radio systems (P25, Tetra, DMR) preferably in a mining environment. Foundational knowledge in Network Engineering, Communications and Electronic systems Proven track record of Safety within a large-scale operational environment Ability to interpret and read maintenance plans and technical information. An ability to prioritize effectively and execute tasks in a changing work environment. Proactively build and maintain relationships with customers/partners. Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
