An exciting opportunity to join Ventia as a Senior Project Engineer in our Telecommunications Sector. This is a permanent role based in Brisbane and offers hybrid working conditions with the requirement for monthly travel in QLD. You will also support the Construction Team in efficient delivering all construction works in a timely manner to ensure optimal profitability for the project. Accountabilities include aspects in: Safety and Environment - promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to, management of risks and incidents, toolbox discussions and endorsing corporate initiative Programme and resource management - forecast and plan detailed construction works in accordance with Program of work, create project plan and schedule, manage BOQ, financial contract sums, subcontractors, traffic management, LAAN access notices, variations, CARs etc. Finance - ensure BOQ items are ordered in a timely manner to meet construction schedules, review variations, develop forecasted costs, validating expenditure against budget, financial forecasting etc. Quality and contract management - be fully conversant with the contract, review KPIs and lead indicators, analyse results and facilitate and develop improvement initiatives Leadership - lead a team of project engineers and engineers, fostering a team culture of ownership and excellence, provide mentorship and guidance Required Skills and Experience You must have experience working with NBN projects Degree in Engineering (Civil or related) Project Management qualifications (PMBOK / PMP / Prince 2) Demonstrated knowledge and experience carrying out large scale projects Demonstrated leadership skills and experience Cost management and finance principles Knowledge of commercial management About Ventia Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
