See yourself in our team The Finance Technology team is responsible for delivering, running, and managing the various Finance, Audit, Tax & Property technologies and services. We achieve this by defining technology strategy & roadmap, building strong partnerships with stakeholders, deliver on agreed priorities, being accountability, and open communication. This team manages 100 services with primary technologies being PeopleSoft Financials, Accurate, Oracle EPM, Horizon, SOC, Noggin, etc. to manage CBA general ledger, account reconciliations, budgeting & planning, and manage systems that monitor physical security of CBA premises. As a Senior Software engineer, you will be part of a squad working on our Quantitative Risk Management (QRM) system; solutioning, designing, deploying, and maintaining the QRM Configuration and API's to assess financial risk for Treasury and Finance. With your business partnering experience, you'll showcase your skills in requirement gathering, solutioning, being hands-on with full-stack development, deployment and maintenance of these API's. You'll be working Product aligned in a full software lifecycle and agile environment. We support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with at least half your time each month connecting in office. We're interested in hearing from people who Are senior full-stack software engineers experienced in the full software development lifecycle using Agile practices (Solution Design, DevOps, Security etc.) Have expertise designing and building API's with .Net Understand data base architecture, specifically SQL Server (i.e. stored procedures, data extraction) Are confident in their solution design capabilities, stakeholder engagement and leading technical conversations in group forums Show the ability to collaborate, present ideas, influence, and challenge stakeholders. Actively are involved in continuous learning, experimentation and innovation, ready to apply and promote industry best patterns and practices Prior QRM or Banking experience is ideal, although not essential Skills We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team; QRM Configuration and API's SQL Server / Oracle .NET / React / Angular Micro services and API Integration Build and hosting technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) Source code control tools (e.g., GitHub, TeamCity) Knowledgeable of public cloud engineering - AWS or Azure and Kafka/event-based architecture Experienced with DevOps, CI/CD and security best practices and principles.
