IB&M's success will be achieved through the effective implementation of our strategic initiatives. QDAT's (Quants, Data, Analytics and Technology) purpose is to power, transform & grow IB&M, supporting its strategy via a centre of excellence using data, mathematics, insights, and technology to deliver exceptional results for our clients and the wider Group. See yourself in our team We are a highly driven team of AI engineers responsible for developing AI solutions across IB&M in close cooperation with the central decision science team. As part of the Systematic Markets Artificial Intelligence (AI) Team we focus on value-add use cases across machine learning and generative AI with end-to-end responsibility from use case definition to model development, model productionization and embedding solutions. In this role You will manage a small team of developers within the Digital Customer Crew. You will be responsible for developing generative AI solutions for our coverage bankers and clients in close cooperation with the implementation of our Customer Relationship Management system for IB&M. Other responsibilities will include: Collaborate with front-line bankers and lending specialists across IB&M to define and develop value-add generative AI solutions for our people and clients within CBA's tech stack Work closely together with CBA's central AI scientists and engineers to define the architecture and AI specific tools Engage and collaborate with technology teams and data engineers to implement a full end-to-end solution for our people and clients Coach and guide junior team members to further develop their skillsets We are interested in hearing from people who have Please note that we're interested in hearing from people who might not meet all the following criteria. Extensive experience in delivering end-to-end solutions directly to business users, ideally in the financial industry Strong programming skills in Python, experience with writing tests and version control Proven experience in building Generative AI solutions either open-source or leveraging vendor models Established experience with CRMs, APIs and data platforms preferred Practical experience in either Institutional banking products (lending, transaction banking) or financial markets products and relationship driven business models is advantageous An innate ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders, together, developing use cases Demonstrated people leadership experience with strong problem-solving abilities Self-starter with strong attention to detail with a passion and understanding for the financial markets A degree in mathematics, computer science, actuary studies, data science, engineering, or related field Demonstrable experience with AI cloud platforms such as AWS Bedrock, AWS Sagemaker and Azure ML studio Working with us We support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with at least half your time each month connecting in our Sydney office.
