Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Engineer (Static) that has previous experience of working across FEEDs/Executes through to EPCM delivery. This role is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the mechanical package, for day-to-day vendor liaison and delivery schedule and budget. Reporting to the Head of Discipline Mechanical & Piping and working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams across the project life cycle (Concept, FEED, Detailed Design), your role will be contributing to technical delivery of engineering excellence through the execution of assigned scopes of work and providing Mechanical engineering expertise to the business. Working as part of an integrated project team you will be: Creating and reviewing designs, drawings, specifications, and other engineering deliverables. Developing a range of engineering deliverables, including specifications, calculations, reports, and technical requisitions. Meeting Mechanical engineering cost and schedule requirements in production of deliverables. Coordinating your own work schedule, preparing progress reports, and providing technical assistance to others. Reviewing vendor documentation and actively participating in design reviews. Please note you must be an Australian citizen or currently hold Permanent Residency (PR) and able to work lawfully in Australia. Suitably qualified in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution with a minimum of 12 years with relevant industry experience, you will have: Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas industry on brownfields projects within an Engineering / EPCM office or gas processing facilities In-depth technical mechanical knowledge - design and operation Extensive design and knowledge of applicable codes and standards (both international and Australian) Ability to manage risk during the design process consistent with technical and commercial requirements Excellent analytical, literacy and numerical skills Proven experience managing small teams of Engineers Excellent communication skills with proven experience in client facing roles What will set you apart will be your in-depth Mechanical (Static) knowledge and experience in design in Oil & Gas - both onshore and offshore.
