See yourself in our team Business Banking Technology (BB Tech) is responsible for the world-leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank - from innovative product platforms for our customers, to essential tools within our business. We also use technology to drive simplicity and better banking, an essential component of great customer service underpinning a strong emphasis on software development as a craft and the adoption of industry best engineering practices. You'll be part of a wider BB Tech team integrated in the Everyday Business Banking Domain. The crew is reimagining the way we bring to life new propositions for Business Banking customers, focused particularly on new solutions to reward loyalty, help businesses operate more sustainably and discover new products and services to meet their banking needs. We're interested in hearing from people who: Design, develop, and maintain software applications using .NET, and AWS technologies. Lead API development and integration efforts, ensuring seamless data flow and system interaction. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Manage a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment. Conduct code reviews and mentor junior team members, promoting best practices and continuous learning. Work closely with product management to ensure alignment with business requirements and objectives. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Implement robust security measures, data protection strategies, and fail-safe redundancy features. Tech skills: Proficient in developing applications using C#, .NET core, API, AWS , ORM (optional), Containers , Problem solving, DevSecOps mindset. Knowledge of Databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, Mongo DB or Postgress. Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer, with a strong focus on .NET, and AWS. Extensive experience with REST API development and integration. Technical experience in digital channels and customer experience. Solid technical knowledge in building data integration, microservices and workflow automation using AWS or Azure. Experience in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, logging, and monitoring tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions Ability to build solutions to meet the highest possible quality standards while simultaneously balancing security, performance, availability, and maintainability concerns.
