ABOUT THE COMPANY Our Client operates within the agricultural industry, primarily focusing on grain handling, storage, and logistics both nationally and internationally. ABOUT THE ROLE This is a hybrid role were you will be assisting the Mechanical Design Manager, Project Managers and the Delivery team in the development, implementation, construction assistance, and project delivery of viable solutions to improve and maintain their grain handling ability. Responsible for conceptual development, scoping of solutions, development of designs, technical expertise and engineering support to Project Managers and maintenance personnel. DUTIES Development of the viable and feasible mechanical solutions to improve the efficiency and maximising profitability Executing and managing projects from concept to commissioning Providing mechanical and technical support during all phases of the project / maintenance team Scoping and conceptual development of mechanical solutions/ Carrying out commissioning and performance testing Providing a mentoring role for graduates/ Providing engineering quality assurance functions including checking of design work Engaging with and managing external consultants as required for specific mechanical expertise Inspecting and reporting on the condition of rail mounted mobile machines, such as shiploaders SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or similar with studies in materials handling (accredited by Engineers Australia) At least 5 years' post-degree experience in bulk materials handling, gained in agriculture or a related industry (mining, processing industries, manufacturing, etc.) Specific experience in the design, installation and operation of chutes, screws/augers, belt conveyors, bucket elevators, storage systems (bins and silos), sampling and weighing of materials and systems for handling artefacts. Experience obtained through the life-cycle of projects, from conceptual development, preliminary/detailed design, construction, commissioning, operation, and decommissioning Site based experience including trouble-shooting, installation and operation of mechanical equipment, commissioning support Computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Office suite Member of Engineers Australia, preferably Chartered or in a position to apply for Chartered status Project / design management experience, including management of budgets, schedules, tracking of costs, and project communications, within an industrial construction environment Experience in the use of mechanical engineering analysis software such as Sidewinder, Strand7, discrete element modelling General mechanical design - power transmission, shaft design, hydraulic power systems, fans and pumps, machinery safety (guards etc.)/ Experience in the design, commissioning, inspection and maintenance of rail mounted mobile machines (such as shiploaders, cranes) BENEFITS Able to Travel to other locations in Australia 10% bonus on top of Salary Company Car Work from home days HOW TO APPLY Click APPLY or contact Keeley, on (0452 601 251) for a confidential discussion.
