UGL is an employer with a difference, jump on board and experience our incredible journey About the role The role of the Control Systems Engineer is to perform the Design and Engineering function for projects. It is responsible for managing the timely delivery of the design, procurement, construction and commissioning documentation as related to projects. About the role Develop a thorough understanding of the overall project and effectively communicate such understanding to the applicable Project Team members under his/her supervision; Prepare and maintain the Design Management Plans and provide status updates to the associated Project Program for the duration of the project; Ensure the design documentation satisfies the project requirements; Ensure a common approach to design templates, interface management, design deliverables, reporting and delivery program management; Review and oversee design outputs to ensure compliance with the project requirements; The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered. About you Minimum 3 years' experience with PLC and HMI systems for automated control. Experience with interfacing protocols like Ethernet and device level communications between PLC systems, SCADA Databases, and SCADA HMI. Skilled in the use of software from vendors like Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens Automation Systems. Experience with Control Systems Programming & Commissioning. Experience with configuring control system including PLC and the HMI/SCADA system. Experience with electrical single line diagrams and schematics. Experience with IED (Intelligent Electrical Devices) & Gateways. Experience with Servers, Databases, Virtual Machines & VMWare preferred. Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
