Their Property and Buildings team stands at the forefront of management and technical consultancy, operating across all sectors. They are deeply passionate about tackling the intricate challenges of the built environment, delivering innovative and sustainable solutions that foster accessible, resilient, and vibrant communities. The Responsibilities Lead a dynamic team of engineering and draughting professionals at our Canberra office, fostering an environment of excellence and collaboration. Cultivate enduring client relationships while identifying opportunities for business development, contributing to the growth and development of the business unit in alignment with local and national strategic goals. Offer technical expertise across a spectrum of multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring optimal outcomes for clients with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness. Serve as a mentor to engineers within the team, providing guidance on technical aspects and soft skills to foster their professional growth. Take the lead on medium to large-scale building engineering designs as needed, overseeing project resources and ensuring timely delivery. Communicate effectively with external stakeholders (clients, authorities) and internal counterparts (colleagues, managers) to facilitate seamless project execution. The Requirements Demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, thriving in a collaborative team environment. Possess a proven track record in delivering multidisciplinary projects within the building services industry, adept at managing and nurturing relationships in both the private and public sectors. Showcase proficiency in various Building Services disciplines, enabling fruitful collaboration with team members and the evaluation of design solutions. Hold a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Engineering, or equivalent field, coupled with demonstrated experience in engineering consulting within the building services sector. Exhibit adeptness in applying Australian building codes and standards, with familiarity in ACT projects and clients being advantageous. Demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities, prioritise tasks effectively, and meet challenging deadlines. Bring comprehensive knowledge of diverse building sectors such as commercial, health, defence, and education, along with Professional Engineer qualifications and/or Engineers Australia chartership.
