Our KBR Infrastructure Solutions division is looking to expand our capability in HV Primary and Secondary design for future projects within Energy Infrastructure, Transmission and Distribution Markets, spanning from innovative grid systems to complex transmission line networks. Substation Primary Engineers Substation Secondary Engineers Transmission Line Engineers Power Systems and Integration SME Key Responsibilities: Design, analyse, and optimise grid systems to meet evolving energy demands this may be through comprehensive power grid analyses encompassing grid-connection studies, network infrastructure planning, system strength impact assessments, and research and development initiatives for electrical grid technologies. Develop innovative solutions for transmission lines above 275kV, ensuring reliability and efficiency. This may include feasibility studies, modelling and analysis. Establish network connections with a focus on seamless integration and performance. Create robust designs for substations, adhering to industry standards and regulations. Lead primary and secondary design processes, driving project success from inception to completion. Power Systems SME to develop and grow multidisciplinary power systems team to meet future project needs. Skills and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field. Proven experience in primary, secondary or transmission line design with 275kV and above HV systems. Primary engineer to undertake HV substation and switchyard layouts, equipment specifications, single line diagrams and HV design calculations. Secondary engineer to undertake protection coordination studies including the development of protection system drawings, CT & VT sizing and protection settings reports. Strong proficiency in primary and secondary design methodologies. Power Systems Engineer shall have proven experience with PSS/E and PSCAD. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Experience and working knowledge of IEC61850 preferable for Secondary Engineer. Transmission Line Engineer shall have proven experience with PLS-CADD or Tower. Ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams. Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. Candidates must hold Australian work rights and currently reside within Australia.
