Project Digital Engineering Lead (Water Infrastructure) Our Water team promotes holistic, sustainable water resource management for governments, investors, developers, manufacturers, utilities, and corporations, helping with network maintenance and development, risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, cost reduction, and future-ready strategies. There is a lot of excitement in the SA market and we are looking for expressions of interest from experienced Digital Engineering professionals. This role will support a flagship infrastructure project in 2024. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver future ready digital engineering solutions and be responsible for driving BIM strategies across our SA portfolio. What you'll do Preparing and managing the Digital Engineering Execution Plan (DEXP) and ensuring all DE processes and deliverables are compliant with the project Scope of Works and the project digital/information requirements Responsible for validation and handover of project digital/ information during the project lifecycle Attending design, commercial and project management meetings on projects Responsible for driving project digital/information strategy and requirements/standards Responsible for deployment and management of the Information strategy/data governance/data security (CDE) Assisting the development of systems which enable information to be linked between various sources Auditing design & drafting processes to improve delivery efficiency and effectiveness Tracking deliverables to completion through digital monitoring methods and providing progress information to the Design Management team Working with clients and contractors to enable the model to be used for DE tasks in line with project requirements (eg construction staging, facilities management etc) Responsible for all DE quality, governance, project program and compliance Managing project resources for DE coordination, CAD management, GIS management and visualisation Collaboration with the project sustainability teams, integrating sustainability into the project's digital engineering processes. Reviewing continuous improvement of digital engineering practices and processes for compliance and competitive advantage. Work collaboratively with colleagues from all parts of the WSP business. About you Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent. Experience in leading BIM for a discipline(s), infrastructure or water experience an advantage Accreditation in relevant information management systems/processes (ISO19650 and CDEs) Proven ability to prepare quality execution / management plans High level verifiable discipline coordination skills Commercial awareness/acumen Skilled at collaborative working, have good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing In-depth knowledge of national codes and classification schemes and how they apply to DE delivery Client focused and a high level of relationship management skills Experience of supervising teams of staff including developing/mentoring junior staff.
