Due to continue growth of the company we are currently looking for a Full Time- Quantity Estimator/ Civil Engineer to join our team. Responsibilities: Designing, planning and organizing technical waterproofing solutions projects in construction. Read and understand construction drawings and specifications. Determining construction methods, materials and quality standards. Drafting and interpreting specifications, drawings, plans, construction methods and procedures Source job leads from software such as EstimateOne Prepare quantity take-offs for tenders and contract variations, and compile tender for submission and undertake post tender negotiations. Understand good practices in designing and detailing, the various types of waterproofing systems, their limitations and applications. Monitoring activities on site regularly to obtain performance of construction materials, in order to design strategies and methods to optimize these resources in solving water leakage and waterproofing problems recommending technical solutions. Participation in technical meetings with employers, architects/engineering professionals and subcontractors Effective communication and building positive relationships with clients, project team and management. Monitor and optimize safety procedures and ensure regulatory compliance with the overall design and regulations and best engineering practice in projects and the project progress. Problem solving and innovation as an individual and as part of a team As Quantity Estimator/Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in executing waterproofing projects and specifications from inception to completion, reviewing designs and liaising with key stakeholders. Requesting and analysing relevant tests on membranes to determine compliance with standards Preparing Winds loads Reports calculations for roof structures according Australia Standards Prepare reports by collecting and studying design, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photographs and leaking test, hydrological characteristics and related topographical and geologic data based on different projects. Preparing company Tapered Designs and Board Reports Sketches to meet customer needs for specifics projects. Monitor shipments of waterproofing materials and accessories purchases from abroad with Logistic Supplier, establishing detailed programs for coordination delivery within the project deadline. To ensure that you are successful in this role you will possess/demonstrate: Hold a Bachelor Degree in Engineering Minimum 2 years’ of experience required in a similar role. General Building Construction Knowledge Proven project experience in the waterproofing materials industry and waterproofing specification Superb knowledge of all governing civil engineering standards, requirements, and guidelines. Ability to use Blue Beam or Cubit and Project Management software tools. Excellent MS Excel skills with ability to construct MS Excel spreadsheets to suit relevant tenders. Technical proficiencies include AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Microsoft Office Suite, Civil 3D. Good understanding of sea freight (both FCL and LCL) (beneficial) Possess management, analytical and technical skills Excellent communication skills Critical thinking and Attention to detail Job Type: Full Time Salary Offered: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $ $160, 000 to $170,000 , plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
