As a JV of Downer Jacobs and Ventia, we are Sydney Water's North Delivery Partner, providing construction, maintenance and Facilities Management for all Sites and Assets in the region. We are seeking a talented and experienced Asset Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and analysing asset data to support our water and wastewater operations. This role requires proficiency in data management, analysis, and visualisation. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in asset management, ensuring our infrastructure assets are effectively maintained and optimised. ABOUT THE ROLE: Collect, validate, and maintain asset data from various sources to ensure accuracy and integrity. Develop and implement data models and databases to support asset management and decision-making processes. Utilise Power BI to create interactive and insightful dashboards and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and provide analytical support. Conduct data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for asset optimisation and maintenance. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in data management and reporting. Implement best practices in asset management to maximise the lifespan and efficiency of infrastructure assets. Provide technical support and training to team members on data-related tools and processes. Utilise SAP and Maximo for asset management and data integration tasks. ABOUT YOU: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is essential, but equivalent experience will also be considered. Proven experience as an Asset Data Engineer or similar role ideally in the water and wastewater industry. Strong proficiency in Power BI for data visualisation and reporting. Expertise in SQL, Python, or other data manipulation languages. In-depth knowledge of asset management principles and practices. Experience with SAP and Maximo for asset management. Familiarity with asset management systems and software. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality. Desirable Skills: Experience with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and spatial data analysis. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in asset management. Certifications in data analytics or related fields.
