We're responsible for CommBank's key analytics capabilities and work to create world-leading capabilities for analytics, information management and decisioning. We work across the Group Data Warehouse, Hadoop Big Data Platform, Pega Decisioning, SAS, R, Tableau, Oracle BI, Ab Initio and Data Stage. In this role As an experienced ETL Engineer with proven expertise in production support and a passion for providing data-driven platform solutions, you're ahead of trends and work at the forefront of Big Data platforms. Here, you'll be part of a team of engineers going above and beyond to improve the standard of ITIL practices. Using the latest tech to solve our customers' most complex data-centric problems, including operational and platform issues. Your experience means you're able to execute state-of-the-art ITIL practices, driving high quality outcomes to solve core business objectives and minimise risks. Communicating to technical and non-technical stakeholders & other teams across the business comes naturally to you. We're interested in hearing from people who: Have strong experience in ETL tools suite, along with commendable skills in production support Can demonstrate expertise in build, deploy, release management and containerisation of Hadoop or other similar big data platforms Have the ability to effectively communicate with business stakeholders and technical leadership groups Have the passion to learn new skills along with positive 'can-do' attitude Extensive experience with platform management, operational or production support for complex big data platforms Have a solid background in Linux/Unix, and have exposure to automation and configuration management tools Tech skills: We use a broad range of tools. We do not expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these, or a willing to learn these skillsets (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team Proficiency in Hadoop, SPARK, Unix, SQL Scripting in Python, Bash, and PowerShell Sound knowledge on GitHub and deployment pipelines Understanding on Cloud technologies (AWS and / or Azure) Exposure to Data science principles and Machine Learning tools is an added advantage.
