About The Role: Our client is looking for a customer focused Project Engineer who will be responsible for all project engineering tasks, programming troubleshooting and project documentation of global projects which are larger, more complex projects. This person will also be required to handle the technical support for customers and be responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction with installed security, and/or integrations into building automation systems. What you will be doing: The application of engineering, programming, troubleshooting, and project documentation (creation, updating, completion) to assigned global accounts projects which are primarily larger and more complex In-depth analysis of plans, functional specifications, and contracts in order to determine and advise on overall project requirements Providing input, reviews and preparation of shop drawings and wiring diagrams, based on project plans and specifications, showing the location of devices, equipment, wiring etc Advising Project Manager and/or Sales teams regarding appropriate products needed for installation, identifying any issues on product lines on an ongoing basis to ensure timely delivery of projects Assisting project managers to prepare and/or review formal submission booklets, containing schematics and technical literature as necessary to support each contract May be required to perform other project management duties as and when needed Prepare databases and job-related programming for computer-based systems Skills required Minimum bachelor's degree required Minimum 2 years relevant (building) security industry experience Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure Solid knowledge of engineering principles and practices related to electronic security systems, building automation systems, fire alarm systems Advanced programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions Experience in a data centre environment will be highly regarded Must be a self starter and work well without supervision Frequent visits to job sites and some overnight travel will be required Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Excellent organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Highly proficient computer skills including MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel), AutoCAD and/or viewing software; solid networking & IT skills (Security & Building Automation primarily) Please be aware you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status to apply for this role.
