Apply with 11 Recruitment today Austral SF Group Pty Ltd is looking for a full-time Civil Engineer Draftsperson to join their team. This is a great opportunity where hard work will be awarded. Responsibilities : Responsible for the design and documentation of steel structures, ensuring accuracy, and compliance with engineering standards and collaborates with engineers and other stakeholders to produce detailed drawings and plans for the construction and installation of steel structures in civil engineering projects. Duties: Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and specifications for steel fixing projects in accordance with engineering standards and project requirements. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project specifications and design requirements Perform 3D modelling Perform calculation and record survey measurements using descriptive notes, drawing and sketches Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from civil engineers to ensure that they conform to design concepts Collect, calculate, compare data as well as estimate costs and budgeting Determine quality, cost, strength and quantity of required materials, and enter figures on materials lists Understanding the feature of each material (steels) and identifying the most appropriate material/product for each task in construction projects for costing and budgeting purposes Interpret plans and revising drawings during the planning stage of construction projects Inspect materials and surveying equipment for compliance with specifications Production of engineering reports, specification and design documents Monitoring variations to designs, assessing effects on cost, including the changes on the schedule Skills and Qualification: Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma Minimum 2 years, preferably 3 years of experience Good level of technical knowledge Proven experience in a diverse range of projects would be preferred An eye for detail and ability to produce quality drawings Excellent communication with ability to work well with Engineers & other drafting staff Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000- $90,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
