Quality Engineer — Perth CBD, Perth

The Opportunity The Quality Engineer will provide support to our Quality and Completions team on an exciting new joint venture project in the rail industry. The role will ensure quality assurance and quality control obligations are fulfilled as per our joint venture agreement and contractual requirements. Key responsibilities include Understanding and implementing the project HSEQ policies, management plans, applicable legislative and client requirements, including Government regulations, policies, standards, and specifications. Assisting the project team with the implementation of the project Quality Management Plan (QMP) and associated sub-plans for the achievement of quality-related deliverables. Preparing and presenting Quality Toolboxes, Quality Trainings, Quality Alerts, Quality Meetings. Champion the implementation and use of the project quality system / software, including but not limited to SharePoint, TeamBinder, Synergy, UGLMS, etc. to meet the project and client requirements. Ensure all personnel possess a sound knowledge of the plans, processes and procedures. Drive the collation of construction data and deliverables. Coordinate the compilation and closure of project records to meet project handover deliverables including MDR documentation to ensure completeness within required timeframe. Coordinating on site quality assurance and control activities, including, and not limited to Hold Points, Witness Points, Testing, etc. Monitor timely notification and closure of Hold / Witness Points, NCRs, etc. by client. Development, review and assist the project team in the management of the project quality procedures, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Control Checklist (QCC) / Field Inspection Checklist (FIC), Lots, Work Packs, Construction Elements, Nonconformities (NCRs), Corrective / Preventive Actions, Request for Information (RFIs) / Technical Queries (TQs), Marked-up drawings, punch, and defect lists, etc. Requirements to be successful 5 years' experience in a similar role across the execution of infrastructure projects Degree qualified in Civil or Construction Engineering (Desirable) Previous experience working in a rail environment (Desirable) Experience in implementing project QA management systems.
