Verification and Validation Engineer — Brisbane, Brisbane Region

Now is the time to apply We are currently seeking applications from experienced V&V Engineers to join an industry leader located in Brisbane. The successful applicant will join a dynamic team that are strong contributors to the systems engineering effort for various projects throughout the product and systems lifecycle. Applicants should have a strong understanding of V&V activities within a Defence environment as well as practical experience with Linux. Responsibilities Conduct Verification and validation activities Ensure that products and systems are efficiently developed and perform as intended Conduct requirements definition and design definition Creation of Test and Acceptance artefacts such as Test Plans Test Cases and Procedures Test Reports Produce engineering technical documentation Contribute to the development of new design approaches Plan, document, and conduct Verification & Validation activities (protocols and reports) for both new and current product designs Identification of project V&V risks, such as identifying any resource deficiencies that may compromise the achievement of V&V outcomes Requirements Bachelor's Systems engineering or relevant field Understanding of System Engineering Verification & Validation (V&V) processes & concepts essential Strong Linux knowledge and practical experience Experience with networks (layer2 layer3), ideally protocol knowledge (UDP, TCP, Multicast) Familiarity with EMI standards such as MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, DEF(AUST) 5168 or similar. Ability to prepare and develop V&V plans Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Due to the nature of this role candidate will require to hold Australian citizenship and hold a current AGSVA clearance ideally NV1.
