Supervise and coordinate resource allocation with the expectation that you would encourage effective teamwork and foster a positive attitude toward the achievement of organisational objectives Undertake assessments for road and related infrastructure and prepare management plans for the long-term management of transport related assets including road pavements, batters, bridges, and culverts. Provide guidance and oversight for the management of Excess Mass and Dimension assessments and approval of permits. Manage and enhance strategic information systems to provide high quality data for asset management and transport planning. Manage the development of maintenance and enhancement strategies to respond to the demands of industry and road users and to maximise the return on investment in the road network Provide high level engineering advice and input into Maintenance Preservation and Environment (MPE) works and programs. Manage the operational aspects of project delivery to ensure the effective and efficient use of systems and processes involved with all phases of the project management model Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements necessary to support responsible decisions and courses of action for the design and construction of road infrastructure projects Identify and manage networks and alliances of all stakeholders and manage the expectations and issues of all parties, including identifying possible political and high risk matters to ensure they are dealt with in a timely and professional manner. Mandatory qualifications and conditions Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role. A Washington Accord accredited four-year degree in Engineering or equivalence recognised by Engineers Australia Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is mandatory for appointment to the position Requirements of the role Provide expert technical engineering advise on the management and maintenance of road and road related assets. Aptitude to communicate with diverse range of internal and external stakeholder groups to provide high standard customer service. Demonstrated leadership skills to develop a high-performance team Highly skilled in the management of strategic risk in a road asset management context.
