The purpose of the role is to work with other members of the Software Advanced Technologies team and the broader Technology & Solutions team to investigate advances in software technology and assess its suitability for use within nbn. The role will develop and execute proof of concept activities and assist with development of technology strategies. The role will be responsible for performing market studies of potential solutions and working with vendors to define the applicability for nbn. Of particular focus will be investigating AI and automation solutions. The role will assist with the development of network automations through the development of scripts and application microservices. The role will support the running of a compute infrastructure lab environment being accountable for activities such as software patching and installation. Additionally, the role will assist in the development of solution architectures for network and software solutions. A bit about you The role requires a candidate with a broad range of experience, including coding/script development, knowledge of telecoms networks, the ability to configure network devices, and familiarity with software installation and patching. Communication and influencing skills are crucial for this role, with the candidate expected to collaborate effectively with team members, articulate ideas clearly, communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical people, and be confident in voicing their opinions.
