Our client deliver a range of defence systems including C4, ISR, flight simulators, unmanned aircraft systems, electro-optics systems, EW suites and cyber security systems. They are looking to grow their software development capability within Melbourne, VIC, to drive and build upon their existing capabilities and on-going support to the ADF. Permanent full-time role, based in Melbourne, VIC. Those with experience in software programs including C++ and similar tools are highly desirable MUST be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance The Role: Execute and maintain software best practices Coding, configuring and testing software solutions in line with the software design. Maintain current knowledge of and execute continuous integration/delivery methodologies. Software programming utilising C++ and other software programs and platforms Provide requirements analysis and management with the use of software management tools Strong understanding of UI design and UX best practices. Lead Software/Systems Engineers on assigned projects, providing direction on technical/design and development process. Experience Required: Minimum 5 years Software Engineering experience Engineering Degree in either of the following disciplines: Engineering, Computer Science or similar Experience with hands-on software development in C++ Proficiency in Linux and experience with Linux-based development environments.
