The Role In this role, you will lead high-profile projects across Sydney from concept to completion, applying and developing your technical skills to creatively tackle complex engineering problems and deliver high-quality and detailed designs. You will represent the company on these projects, managing and developing valuable relationships with project partners, including architects, consultants, project managers and builders. The Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Postgraduate qualifications an advantage The Technical Requirements Minimum 3 years of engineering design experience within an engineering consultancy Solid understanding of Australian Building Codes and Standards and their application Understands current industry practices, proprietary products, and their application within projects Experience in the development of value management and value engineering concepts Experience producing technical reports and developing ideas that add value to a project Proficient in the use of Civil 3D or 12D software, and experience using other relevant software, including DRAINS, MUSIC, Swept Path Analysis (e.g. AutoTURN), CIRCLY, AutoCAD, BricsCAD, HEC-RAS and XP-RAFTS Experience in civil design works for urban development, including buildings projects, subdivisions, roads, pavements and public domain areas Experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, with sound knowledge of ARR 2019, design of minor and major drainage systems, design of OSD systems, WSUD strategy development and water quality modelling Project Delivery Expectations Solid understanding of project management principles and application in day-to-day tasks and project delivery Able to lead design development and manage the quality of deliverables produced by the project team Professional Expectations Excellent verbal and written communication skills Offers approachable, friendly, and professional service to clients and partners Works effectively with others, including people with different personalities, working styles and backgrounds The Rewards They put their people first, and this approach extends to the committed employees who make their organisation the progressive, proactive firm it is.
