Their progressive business is expanding its market shares both locally and internationally, with products now sold in every state and territory of Australia, and some overseas countries. Responsibilities Development and design of new machinery from concept to prototyping and production Prepare and develop patent application Create and maintain R&D grant information and prepare grants Create and maintain machinery manuals Analyse designs in line with OHS&E regulations and complete risk assessments for the design and operational aspects of the machines Drawings and amendments of existing drawings for our products using Autodesk Product Design Suite (Inventor, AutoCad) Completion of Change Request Forms (CRF) relevant to the manufacture of products Creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOM’s) in our MRP system Ensure the ISO 9001 Quality manual reflects the design process Assist in the completion of manufacturing jobs to control costs of products ▪ Continual Improvement of processes and systems Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Ability to read and understand designs and schematics Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Ability to multi-task, organise, and prioritise work Experience in maintenance management systems Benefits: Competitive salary package Opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment Centrally located in Newcastle with no requirement to work away Opportunities for career advancement and professional development If you are an engineering professional with a passion for driving initiatives and working within dynamic teams, we want to hear from you Contact Kristi Banister on 0413 312 668 to discuss this exciting opportunity.
