CPB Contractors along with our industry partners has been selected as preferred proponent to deliver two major packages for the Cross River Rail Projects: the Tunnel, Stations and Development (TSD) package and the Rail, Integration and Systems (RIS) package. Cross River Rail is a new 10.2 kilometre rail line from Dutton Park to Bowen Hills, which includes 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and the CBD. The RIS package is crucial to the overall delivery and success of Cross River Rail, and its integration with the Queensland Rail network. RIS will be delivered by the UNITY Alliance which brings CPB Contractors, UGL, AECOM and Jacobs together with partners HASSEL, RCS Australia, Acmena, Martinus Rail and WIRED Overhead Solutions to deliver the full scope of works over the next five years. This includes: Rail civil and electrical works Brownfield rail surface works primarily to the north of the tunnel, including an upgrade of Exhibition Station and a major augmentation of Mayne Yard Upgrade of six suburban stations to the south between Fairfield and Salisbury Rail operational systems works Rail signalling works and communication, and integration and commission activities. Your Opportunity CPB Contractors are currently seeking an Engineering Manager with a background in large infrastructure projects to join the CRR - RIS Project. Reporting to the Construction Manager, your responsibilities will include: Delivering a robust and cost effective design for the Alliance, in line with budget and program constraints Leading a culture that focuses the design team on understanding stakeholder needs, and driving innovations that lead to whole-of-project outcomes and enhanced customer experience Driving overall design team performance, including subcontractors, to ensure all milestones are met and issued-for-construction designs are on time and budget Working collaboratively with the Delivery Authority and Independent Certifier to ensure full quality compliance and seamless integration of assets Managing the detailed design and documentation process with the Delivery Authority, the State and other stakeholders to ensure issues are resolved efficiently without impact to the overall Project Leading a safety culture focused on zero harm to the community, workforce and environment through design to ensure constructability, operability and maintenance Ensuring the design team manages all design works in accordance with the Design Management Plan Reviewing compliance with the Design Management Plan and adherence to Delivery Authority, IC, Queensland Rail and stakeholder expectations Ensuring compliance with all management-system procedures and reporting and record keeping systems Manage and monitor design progress, forecasting and reporting Lead the design team by example, maintaining a high standard of work practices and ensuring safety, integrity, respect and confidentiality Minimum requirements for this role include the following: Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineering or other relevant discipline Previous experience at an Engineering Management level managing major packages on large scale building or infrastructure projects.
